If you have read any of our previous posts, you’ll realize we often mention how difficult it can be to discern your food intolerances. This is because it’s very true. You could be walking around with food intolerances you don’t even know you have. Why? Because the symptoms are not only delayed but also easy to attribute to other aspects of your life.
Fatigue is known to be a very common symptom of food intolerance. However, it’s also a generally popular ailment many people deal with on a regular basis. Hearing someone say “I’m tired.” has become much more common with increased stress levels and workloads.
Stress also has the capability to cause headaches, migraines, and even skin rashes which are all symptoms of food intolerance. Not only that, but the delayed reaction of food intolerance symptoms can make it tricky to pinpoint the foods as well.
So, it is important to keep a food journal, to know what you are consuming, while also keeping a log of any symptoms you experience. Whether it’s fatigue, headaches, bloating, etc. This will begin to develop a pattern which you can then use to decipher your food intolerances.
The other sure way to find out is with a food intolerance test. There are several available online that work differently, use different methods, and provide information on different foods. Do some research on these and find the one that best suits you, and don’t be afraid to spend a little more money on this. After all, your health is worth it.
